A living trust is a trust created during one�s lifetime that owns property during lifetime and directs the disposition of those assets at death. A living trust is a legal entity that becomes the title owner to some or all of the property owned by the person creating the trust, but allows the creator to maintain 100% control over that same property. Living trusts are known by various names: i.e., revocable trust, revocable living trust, or grantor trust. Because the trust is revocable, the person creating it retains the power to alter, amend or revoke any or all of its provisions.
